PM: Govt wants to cut threshold for firms to get IT benefits

MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has suggested reducing the threshold of income from IT operations for companies to get benefits to 70% from 90%, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday at a meeting.

“Payroll tariffs for (the IT industry) were also axed. Under the current law, benefits are available for the Russian companies receiving 90% of income from IT operations. The amendments we will consider today propose to cut this threshold to 70% and cancel the requirement on the minimum number of employees,” Mishustin said.
